Bringing Mindfulness Practice to the Workplace

Facilitated by David Fringer, Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute &

Green Hills Area Agency

Mindfulness practice has become one strategy that many organizations are using to improve employee well-being and work performance   What exactly does this look like in practice and what is the return on investment?  What does science say about the value of a personal practice or corporate mindfulness program?  One local organization’s mindfulness strategy will be shared along with an actionable approach to operationalize a mindfulness initiative in your personal or professional life.   Numerous resources will be shared including local organizations who are dedicated to the practice of mindfulness.

Members will know the rationale, motivation and tools to begin a personal mindfulness practice.

Members will understand the science behind mindfulness and be able to articulate the key scientifically indicated benefits

Members will be able to share the benefits of a corporate or organizational mindfulness program.

Members will learn one integrated mindfulness strategy.

David lives in Omaha Nebraska with his wife Nancy and enjoys spending time with his two children and three grandchildren.  He is currently the Executive Director of Technology, Media, & Operations for Green Hills Area Education Agency in Iowa.  While not directly related to his primary role, mindfulness has become his passion project.  David is teaching Search Inside Yourself to educators across southwest Iowa, but is also interested in sharing mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and leadership with other schools, school districts, nonprofits, and businesses.  David's Introduction to mindfulness came via Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in 2010.    Embodiment of mindful, compassionate leadership and daily practice are key components of David's approach to leadership and teaching.
