In these times of hyper-competition, change, and increasing uncertainty, leaders are tasked more than ever before with achieving results. Because our results are impacted by our ability to think and communicate with others, our inability to understand and manage ourselves and others can get in the way of accomplishing our goals, making decisions, and solving problems. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy when it comes to improving our productivity!
Have you ever wondered why someone (perhaps you!) has become defensive or emotional for no apparent reason? Unfortunately, a person’s ego has a huge impact on how that person deals with reactive interpersonal situations. During this session you will gain some insight into understanding the nature of your thinking and reasons why people become emotional. You will learn how to defuse defensiveness in yourself and others, and how to identify values and ego needs that might curtail your success.
